Hotel “Zelengora” is located in the very center of Kragujevac.
It is one of the oldest hotels in Serbia - built in 1884.
It is one of the oldest hotels in the city, definitely the hotel with the richest tradition: over 120 years long. It was built by a big benefactor and charity giver Milovan Gušić (1822-1891), high rank infantry captain who left to the city everything that he had in his possession. The name of the hotel in the past was “Grand hotel Gušić”.
The architecture of the hotel dates from the end of the 19th century, and it perfectly fits-in the ambient and surrounding of the old downtown of Kragujevac. Even if the architecture is from the end of the 19th century it has been modernized and renovated, in that way it connects the romantic old times with the modern time requests.
Situated between two main roads, and surrounded with two pedestrian areas, hotel “Zelengora” is primarily suitable for businessmen, who can rest here between hard working activities, but also can accomplish all working tasks. During the day as well as during the evening hours the hotel “Zelengora's” summer garden, aperitif bar, saloon, Italian national cuisine restaurant has always been the meeting place for prominent citizens and guests: merchants, bankers, lawyers, professors, various profile artists, politicians, bohemians...
